Kathy Kollwitz Museum

Today was wet and miserable and I checked out the guide to see that the Kathy Kollwitz Museum was open today. Walked down Blissestrasse and onto Berliner Strasse - yes in the rain - and posted some cards to the family. Then found a place to buy DVD's so that I can burn for Melanie when I see her and Matt later this month.

All this before heading down to Kurfurstendamm to the Museum to see the thought provoking work of Kathy Kollwitz - from the works depicting motherhood to the pain of death. Powerful enigmatic works. The collection of works consisted of lithographs, charcoal drawings and woodcuts and some sculptures.
